Welcome to Knock Murton! Sleeping up to four guests, this lodge is set in peaceful surroundings with open views across the fields of the Western Lake District. Ideally located between Cockermouth, Ennerdale and Loweswater, it provides a comfortable base for exploring this scenic part of Cumbria.
Inside, the lodge offers a bright open-plan living space combining the lounge, kitchen and dining area. The living area features a wood-burning stove and TV, creating a space to relax after a day outdoors. The well-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, while a washer/dryer adds extra convenience during your stay. The accommodation comprises two bedrooms: a double bedroom and a bunk bedroom, making it suitable for couples, families and small groups. A modern bathroom complete the internal accommodation.
Outside, guests can make the most of the lodge's excellent outdoor facilities. The private hot tub and sauna provide the perfect place to unwind, while the outdoor fireplace and barbecue area are ideal for al fresco dining. The lawned garden offers space for outdoor games and is surrounded by peaceful countryside views.
The Lake District National Park is less than 2 miles away, offering access to an extensive network of walking and cycling routes, spectacular mountain scenery and abundant wildlife. Loweswater is approximately 5 miles away and connects to Crummock Water and Buttermere, while Ennerdale is one of the most unspoilt valleys in the National Park and is home to red squirrels, ospreys and buzzards.
The coastal town of Whitehaven offers a historic harbour, restaurants and shopping, while St Bees Heritage Coast is known for its sandy beaches and coastal walking routes. Further afield, guests can explore popular Lake District destinations including Keswick, Derwentwater and Ullswater, enjoy watersports and boat trips on the lakes, or tackle some of the region's most famous walking and cycling routes.
Knock Murton can also be booked alongside Blake Fell to accommodate up to nine guests.

Blake Fell Lodge is a timber lodge sleeping up to five guests, set in peaceful surroundings with open views across the fields of the Western Lake District. Ideally located between Cockermouth, Ennerdale and Loweswater, it provides a comfortable base for exploring this scenic part of Cumbria.
Inside, the lodge offers a spacious open-plan living area incorporating the lounge, kitchen and dining space. The well-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, while a washer/dryer and free Wi-Fi provide added convenience. The accommodation comprises three bedrooms: one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom, sleeping up to five guests. A modern family bathroom completes the internal accommodation.
Outside, the enclosed lawned garden offers plenty of space to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. Guests can unwind in the private hot tub, which accommodates up to six people, or enjoy the private sauna with shower facilities and WC. The patio area is furnished for outdoor dining and includes a charcoal barbecue and outdoor fireplace, making it ideal for spending time outdoors throughout the year. Private parking is available for two cars, and ramp access is provided within the garden.
The lodge is ideally placed for exploring the Western Lake District, with easy access to scenic walking and cycling routes, picturesque lakes and stunning mountain landscapes. Nearby Loweswater, Crummock Water and Buttermere offer some of the area's most beautiful scenery, while Ennerdale is renowned for its unspoilt natural beauty and wildlife.
