    Accommodation

    Description

Moor View is a luxurious cosy wooden cabin sleeping four people with modern interiors, kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom, all complete with stunning views across the Dartmoor countryside.

An excellent choice for a luxury glamping getaway with all the comforts of home in a wonderful eco-conscious setting, the cabin is one of only a handful at Oaktree Lane, a natural glamping and camping site which attempts to be as environmentally friendly as possible in every way. Fresh eggs and local produce is available to buy on-site, rain-water is collected and re-used, and solar power and LED lighting is used where possible around the site, with minimal plug and electricity use.

Recycling points are provided across the farm for the use of guests; this significantly reduces the amount of waste that goes into landfill. Food waste is also gathered and composted. For guests, this means minimum impact holidays that offer excellent quality glamping, bringing you maximum wellbeing and escapism from the trappings of hectic modern life.

Inside, the cabin is centrally heated, with full kitchen area including fridge, freezer, cooker, kettle and all the equipment and kitchenware you will need. There is also a living area with sofas, television and one single plug socket point for use if needed. There are two separate bedrooms, one double and a twin, ideal for families or couples wanting some space and privacy. We have provided all of the bedding you will need for your stay and loads of storage to keep everything neat and tidy in your home away from home. All you need to do is show up, un-pack and settle on in ready to relax.

The shower room has a modern shower enclosure, with basin and WC. Outside, the cabin comes with its own private decking area, boasting completely unspoilt views in every direction, you’ll find it easy to lose yourself in daydreams of countryside adventures to come. The cabin has been carefully placed to make sure you can see for miles around, all the way to Dartmoor and beyond, and the BBQ sets you up perfectly for hazy, warm summer evenings dining al fresco, and amazing star-gazing after dark.

Locally, there is plenty to see and do, and Oaktree Lane is ideally located with easy access to both Devon and Cornwall. The only thing you need to decide is where you’ll head first and how you’ll fit it all in!

Roadford Reservoir is only a couple of miles away and is not only a great place to take a leisurely stroll surrounded by water and countryside, but also boasts a range of water sports and activities – from sailing and wind surfing through to kayaking and paddle-boarding. They offer lessons during the summer months and it is worth exploring during your stay.

Dartmoor National Park is only 12 miles away, so get out there and simply enjoy a hike, get on a bike or even take to horseback – no matter how you experience the moor, it is an amazing place to be!

The town of Bude is roughly 25 miles distant and has it all; some great beaches, plenty of independent shops restaurants and bars.

    Access Info:
Parking is a short walk over the field from the cabin, and there are a couple of steps up to the decking and entrance. Once inside, everything is on the level and doorways are standard widths.

    Please note:
Moor View Cabin cannot accept pets at any time. Strictly no smoking anywhere on site.

We loved everything. We had a wonderful welcome from Sara, who later came back and allowed our grandchildren to feed the sheep. Our entire stay in this idyll was perfect, and we will be coming back.

We were greeted each morning by the sheep who were happy to come over to talk to my children. What made this place extra special though was the wonderful hosts. We will certainly be back next year!
